Companies in the USA have the obligation to designate a Registration Agent in the jurisdiction where they were created. The main job a Registered Agent is to accept official documents and judicial notifications in case the company is sued.

Accordingly, the Registered Agent accepts official notifications and forwards to the address provided by the client. A Company’s registrar must be available to receive legal documents during regular business hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Companies that failed to designate a Registration Agent could be fined and are in jeopardy of losing their good standing status before the jurisdiction where it was created.
